One of the newest features of Preview is an OCR – optical character recognition. You can export your PDF as a JPEG, TIFF, but there are no options for exporting to other apps, such as Word or Pages. It is also easy to rotate pages (click on the page in the Thumbnail view and click on the rotate icon in the menu).
